Home again.......
Well here we are home again. We had a marvelous weekend with Jock and Elsie, Mum and Brenda. Yesterday was such a stunning day - the weather couldn't have been better.
Last night we had 2 rounds of Trivial Pursuit which was fun with lots of laughter, debating and gesticulating! This morning we exchanged Easter eggs - Mum gave me an avocado wrapped in tinfoil with a ribbon which of course exactly resembled an egg. Everybody had roast lamb for lunch and then a quiet drive home.
My juicing was the norm over the weekend and I managed to consume:
2 green coco's
6 avocadoes
at least 3lb tomatoes
several lettuces
a bunch of celery
apples and oranges
some plums and kiwifruit
and as a sweet my raw Easter balls.
All in all I ate well.
Sheba was pleased to see us (even Fred!) and she has taken up her position in front of the living-room fire. She tried to cosy up to Fred but he said he still didn't quite trust her motives. So still some bonding and trust issues to get over there. One minute she loves him then quick as a flash she will tell him to bog off so you can't blame him.
Fred, Henry and Mac had a brilliant weekend. If they weren't play fighting they were racing around the lawn and sofa. Henry took every opportunity to shag which ever dog was temporarily preoccupied and would sneak up from behind! So there were lots of shouts of.......,'HENRY!'
We got Elsie's big garden urns moved cos they had got lost in the under growth and B got a gizillion cuttings of layered Coprosma for her new bit of garden.
So, still have another day off tomorrow and I think Geoff is mice proofing the foundations! I see lots of ripe tomatoes in the veg patch so imagine I will be making Tom Soup.............
